As a Los Angeles–based artist and graduate of Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, I draw upon a foundation in photography, painting, and visual design to explore themes of transformation, memory, resilience, and perception.

My artistic journey began through photography, where I learned to recognize the extraordinary within ordinary moments and overlooked spaces. Over time, my practice evolved beyond documentation, leading me to transform photographic images through painting, abstraction, and mixed media. This process allows me to explore not only what is seen, but also what is remembered, felt, and carried through time.

 

Much of my work is inspired by urban environments, where I photograph weathered walls, torn posters, faded paint, and the layered surfaces of the urban landscape. These fragments become the foundation for mixed-media compositions that combine photography, painting, collage, and texture. Rather than viewing these surfaces as signs of decline, I see them as records of change—evidence of lives lived, histories layered, and the quiet resilience of places shaped by time.

Influenced by both modernist abstraction and the compositional discipline of photography and design, I seek a balance between observation and imagination, structure and spontaneity. My work reflects an ongoing fascination with the way memory accumulates within physical spaces and how overlooked details can reveal unexpected beauty.

Ultimately, my work invites viewers to slow down, look closer, and discover meaning within what might otherwise go unnoticed. Through layers of material, texture, and abstraction, I hope to create works that honor the passage of time and reveal the enduring beauty found in transformation.
